The Red Ridge Centre has been one of been one of the leading outdoor education centres in Wales since 1978. We offer Rock climbing and Abseiling, Caving, Canoeing, Kayaking, High ropes course, Zip wire. Archery, and more, to our residential groups and to those not requiing accommodation. We are available to schools and colleges and to those with disabilities. Management Training and Team Building courses are a speciality and may be of any duration. Programmes for Stag and Hen weekends are also available. Increasingly popular are our exciting evening programmes that are enjoyed by many different groups including childrens'birthday parties, Round Table, Rotary, Tangent as well as team building evenings for local businesses.

The Mid Wales Golf Centre is a thriving family run business, comprising a beautiful, yet challenging, 9 hole, parkland, par three golf course available to club members and Pay and Play visitors; a 12 bay, floodlit, undercover driving range, and one of the most welcoming clubhouses in Mid Wales. Club hire is available. Professional instruction is offered to novices and experienced golfers by Andy Humphries, Level 3 PGA Coach.

Duchess-Countess Packet Boat

The packet boat 'Duchess -Countess' members man the Wharf Centre on the Llanymynech length of the Montgomery Canal. The 'George Watson Buck' narrow boat gives rides each Sunday from Easter to the end of September, and on Saturdays and Sundays, in July and August. There are cups of tea and biscuits available with information about the canal and its development. We are next to the Limeworks Heritage Area with unique Hoffmann Kiln. Well worth and visit and wander.
